We've watched and liked Hawkeye, Alex Rider series, A series of unfortunate events, His dark materials, stranger things and some others I can't remember the names of! do you have any other suggestions? He likes action, mystery, that kind of thing. I'm struggling to find anything else.

merlin
carkson's farm

BlueChampagne · 10/12/2021 19:59

Avatar, the last Airbender. On Netflix I think.

KurtWildesChristmasNamechange · 10/12/2021 20:14

Lost in Space
Humans
The Irregulars

Fleemeister · 10/12/2021 20:17

Jonathan Creek, most episodes of Hustle

CherryRedDMs · 10/12/2021 20:19

Another vote for Merlin (it’s the one where he and Arthur are young)

Bagelsandbrie · 10/12/2021 20:32

Cobra Kai…? Some bits are a bit rude but my son of a similar age loved it. Lots of action and nice friendship issues etc.

Rasgulla · 10/12/2021 22:58

Thank you! I knew lovely MNetters would come up with some great suggestions. I haven't heard of most of them! Will start with Locke and key - trailer looks fab and he likes thriller/ spooky stuff. The irregulars looks great and humans seems interesting - quite different to the usual stuff.

my dc also liked shakespeare & hathaway

Bagelsandbrie · 11/12/2021 08:18

The only thing that would put me off Humans- if I can remember it rightly- is that there’s a part where essentially the robot is a sex worker and people think she doesn’t have feelings, but she does, and there’s a fairly large part about that… if your 11 year old is going to understand/ be okay with that that’s fine but just thought I’d mention it. My son is a bit too young for that.

TheVanguardSix · 11/12/2021 08:22

My Hero Academia

meh12 · 11/12/2021 08:26

Isn't Locke and key a 15? I watched it with my then 10 year old thinking it was for a younger audience, most of it was fine but there was one sex scene and wasn't she strangled during it? (It's been a while but remember having to fast forward) haven't started the second season.

Sweet Tooth

@Barwell76

Sweet Tooth
Yes, this was fantastic, the whole family loved it here.
HarrisMcCoo · 11/12/2021 09:34

His Dark Materials

Sandsnake · 11/12/2021 09:37

Superman and Lois is on BBC iplayer now. I think the story centres around their teenage sons, so might be appealing to your boy.

pinkcattydude · 11/12/2021 09:37

Yeah not sure about Locke and Key for a 11 year old it is 15 most of it is perfect but there are bits that are quite gory too

KurtWildesChristmasNamechange · 11/12/2021 09:57

@Bagelsandbrie that's a good point about Humans, it's a while since I watched it and I'd forgotten that part!

Camomila · 11/12/2021 11:15

Lost in Space? DM is currently watching it and says it's less scary than Dr Who.

LadyCatStark · 11/12/2021 11:17

It’s not the right genre but DS (12) and I absolutely loved Young Sheldon.

EvilRingahBitch · 11/12/2021 11:51

Loki
Dr Who (start from the Christopher Eccleston series)
I don't think Umbrella Academy is really suitable for age 11, and there's a lot of sexual references in the otherwise brilliant Good Place
Lost in Space is specifically targeted for that audience
If you've got a channel showing Mythbusters then that's a winner with that age group.

Gortimor Gibbons on prime?
