Hi I'd like to send a gift to a friend in Amsterdam, gin or something nice food wise.. budget is £50 but I'm struggling to find somewhere to buy it.. I suspect I'm being dense.
Can anyone help!

Assuming you are in the UK, remember you can’t send any products from herethat contain dairy or meat, and also they’ll be clobbered with charges when they go to pick up the parcel. Best to send from a EU-based shop.

Thank you,I didn't realise that! But I would rather send from a local to her shop but no clue to find one with an English site

I'm in the UK and I've ended up sending chocolates from Butlers Chocolates in Ireland to my friend in Germany. I sent a bought gift to a friend in Ireland and she got customs' charges despite it being under the threshold and marked as a gift.

There are several shops selling British brands based in mainland Europe, so no customs charges. The one I used this year was British Corner Shop, but there are quite a few. Just make sure it explicitly says 'no customs charges' or 'EU base'.
