Primark 'faux fur' lined leggings - anyone have/use any?

I bought a couple of pairs of these having seen them advertised as 'the warmest leggings you will wear'. And they are! I feel the cold terribly, and these have really helped. My question is, do they wear and wash well? I wore a pair a couple of times, and the amount of fluff (I'm guessing the faux fur bits) that they've shed is a bit annoying. I've seen they are hand wash only, but will they survive on a delicates cycle, or will they go bald and sad and useless? Thanks!

I’ve heard anecdotes that they bobble a little bit after a few washes but that’s not been my experience. I didn’t really notice any shedding either. I never hand wash either I just shove them in a normal wash and they’re perfectly fine so a delicate should be perfect. And they’ve really warm I find!!!

Hi, I haven’t had any shedding but they are starting to bobble a little after 2 washes. That could possibly be because I just put in the machine on a short wash though....

I have a pair a while and they did bobble. I keep them for wearing under long dresses in the cold now. They are still warm just look worn.

Dd has these, (she works in a chill) I hadn’t realised they were hand wash only. I’ve been putting them in the machine (and dryer) with the normal wash.
She hasn’t mentioned that there’s a problem so am assuming they’re ok!

Oh this is good news! I just had images of opening the washing machine after washing them once and seeing blobs of 'fur' for ever moreGrin

They end up looking very worn quite quickly I think. I have much older cotton leggings that still look fine but the fleece lined ones bobbled very quickly. They are extremely warm and comfortable though!

I have a pair and they've bobbled after a few washes. I just scrape a razor along them 🙈

I have a pair and although I love the heat of them I find they are too shiny and look more like tights than leggings which is annoying for me as I wanted to wear them with hoodies and trainers etc but can only wear them with boots and dresses.

Dd found them itchy, but she's very sensitive to textures.

I swear by these for WFH, they are so warm. I'd never leave the house in them though as they make my legs feel huge as they're so thick!

Mine wash really well and apart from a bit of fluff after the first wear, they don't shed at all.

CactusFlowers · 10/12/2021 12:27

Mine don’t look particularly bobbly and I machine wash them. They do come up small though, for anyone thinking of buying them.

Yes, I've noticed the shiny look, too, it feels like I've forgotten to put my skirt on!

I know I'm a bit late to the thread, but mine are in a terrible state now and I can't find new ones anywhere.
Any suggestions?
Does the razor thing really work or does anywhere else sell the same thing?
