What can I spend Edenred childcare vouchers on?

I used to 'buy' Edenred childcare vouchers in pre covid times. Although I started WFH at lockdown and no longer needed wraparound childcare for my twins, I always assumed we'd go back to 'normal' so kept buying for a while.

It now looks like DH and I won't ever go back to full-time office-based work, therefore, we're unlikely to ever need any kind of childcare but we have a reasonable balance, just sitting there.

I'd heard I could use this for swimming lessons but our health club isn't part of the scheme. Does anyone have any ideas please?

Some holiday camps take them.

Some tutors take vouchers methinks

DH got his back (although not Edenred). He contacted the provider direct, but had to pay the tax he had not paid due to getting them. His company accountant dealt with that for him.

Same as the above poster, I had some left when I left my last employer and they gave the money back to me minus the tax I owed.

Following for ideas. We have had a couple of thousand stuck with them. DS couldn’t go back to nursery, but my employer wouldn’t let me stop buying the vouchers until the end of the benefits year.

That's awful! I paused mine with a months notice.

I'll try to get refunded and pay the tax.

Thanks all

PGL take them and our local outdoor pursuits run holiday clubs that can be paid for with vouchers

DrWankincense · 09/12/2021 20:20

I'm in the process of trying to get them refunded. My employers have been helpful but I don't think everywhere is the same and some do not facilitate refunds. Which seems ridiculous as it's your money!

HairyScaryMonster · 09/12/2021 20:38

Any holiday club should take them, some of those Kumon tutor type places take them.

stepbackfromthecircles · 09/12/2021 20:43

I am currently using mine up with holiday clubs.

Camomila · 09/12/2021 20:47

our after school clubs takes them too - not just the childcare one but the sports ones too.
