How do people find jobs these days?!

In my day it was looking in the local paper every Thursday and seeing what was there. Now it's all agencies and uploading CVs onto websites. It's hard to separate the bullshit! What's the most reliable way of finding a new job?

Depends on what industry

AnxiousAngelina · 09/12/2021 17:20

Administration / secretarial. Preferably within the accountancy industry but not absolutely essential.

Company’s own website if you know which companies are most likely

LinkedIn jobs section

Indeed

Where are you based? In the south west it seems to be employers struggling to find people looking for a job!

anniegun · 09/12/2021 17:31

Indeed is the largest job board. However worth checking the websites of any organisations that you would want to work for as they will often post there first

VanCleefArpels · 09/12/2021 17:41

Linked In and Indeed seem to cover most bases

AnxiousAngelina · 09/12/2021 17:41

Indeed is good, thanks guys! I'm based in Midlands x
