Flying from Edinburgh to Belfast, help!

I think I need to take a rapid lateral flow device test before I fly. Do I take the result with me? Does anyone at the airport check? I haven't flown anywhere since the pandemic began!

That's within the common travel area. You don't need anything AFAIK.

Apologies you need to do a lateral flow test before you travel and on day 2 and day 8 if staying in NI. Only travel if negative. Check the NI direct website. All info is on there.

I did look at that website. I can't see if I have to prove the test was negative?

No you won't be asked to prove you've taken a test its only guidance

Lateral flow test is recommended but it’s not checked/enforced. Do be aware that Covid passports are in place here for certain venues and events which require proof of vaccination or negative lateral flow test within the last 48 hours (sorry I know this isn’t what you asked, but just in case you have plans).
