Is a Boden girls dress age 3-4 generous or not ?

I know styles will vary, but DD is chunky I have in other brands bought 4-5 and then neck is massive. Can't decide on age 3-4 or 4-5 ?

Not generous, in my recent experience. I’d size up personally.

Oh I would have said generous but most of the stuff I have is a few years old so maybe they’ve got smaller.

They have reviews on the website which might help

Ok great I'm ordering a Christmas thing so will be a pain to post back. But just noticed it's a tunic not a dress, so that might be ok actually if I get the bigger size, might be more dress length with toddler tummy space

Try boyswear. Girlswear is deliberately cut small - my DN has a 17 BMI and is tiny but still has to wear 2 sizes above her normal size for girls clothing in most brands. Boden’s boyswear is definitely roomy - DS is 2 and still wearing 9-12 months.

I bought 3-4 PJs from Boden for my tall and still quite pudgy 2 year old. The length is ok but they are really really skinny fitting and not much stretch, not comfy at all. She fits Next/Tesco etc 3-4 fine.

I find them generous for dresses. If not sure, could you buy both then send one back. That way no exchange process but you know you’ll have right size.

Boden have a very generous returns period and free postage, so if you can afford it, buy both sizes and send the wrong one back after Christmas.

@Byeckythump Pyjamas are hard, they all seem to be cut very skinny for the tops.

I have a tiny 3 years old and she wears a 3-4 in Boden.

Jumpingintochristmas · 09/12/2021 16:56

I find Boden neater now too.

Sportsnight · 09/12/2021 17:06

They’re not great on length either. I size up.

I bought a couple of boden dresses for my average size 2.5 year old recently in 2-3 and they're both too big so I'd say they're generous
