Doll recommendations please

I'm hoping that people might be able to recommend some dolls for my 4 year old DD. I don't like the bratz type dolls or LOL etc, and I find Barbie a bit challenging (and everything about her is sharp and pointy).
I used to love Sindy as a child, something a bit more gentle and less stereotyped/sexualised.
Can anyone recommend any makes of similar doll?

Argos and Sainsbury's have the new retro style Sindy Dolls.

My DDs loved their Our Generation dolls. Played with them loads. The outfits are lovely and if you are crafty, there are lots of 18" doll clothes patterns so you can make your own.

I second Our Generation! And you can keep on buying new outfits and accessories. My DD loves hers.

I prefer the Argos Design a Friend dolls to Our Generation - same size so their clothes fit either type. I think their faces are a bit nicer. The Entertainer does their version too. Also size compatible.
If you go for Our Generation it's worth checking TKMaxx because they often have them there.

Many thanks. The Lottie dolls look nice, although they are rather expensive 😳
