Anyone else having problems with Boots online ordering?

Ordered about £190 worth of goods a week ago, said it would arrive today. Nothing. Online system says order is 'being processed'. The customer services line had me on hold for ages. No way of cancelling the order. Anyone else or is this just unlucky?

Is it in store delivery or home delivery? Did you order it in store or online?
Obviously this is a very busy time of year, with a lot of orders to be processed.

I have had problems ordering online with Boots for a while now. I order about once a month. For a couple of years there were no problems, but since August every order has been difficult. Twice the order has failed just before checkout, in October it arrived 10 days after predicted delivery date and yesterday the website was so glitchy I gave up. They are obviously having issues.

i had 2 separate orders delivered to the store didnt get a text to say they had arrived so i went into the store and asked and they was there the lady said they had a problem with the text messages
ordered something else never arrived at the store after 2 weeeks i emailed customer sevices never heard nothing so i emailed them again and they replied saying they are refunding me as they are out of stock and also sending a replacement
i dont know what that is as im still waiting
i wont be ordering from them again

Yes - one order I was meant to collect in store last week, no sign of it. Placed another order, delivery to store not ab option, no indication yet of when I will get it at home.

Yes. Been a nightmare. One item out of four was out of stock so they didn't bother sending the rest. Or telling me my parcel wasn't being sent. Took over an hour to speak to someone on the phone and apparently they have reissused the order of 3 items to arrive Friday but I won't hold my breath. This is 4 weeks after they were meant to arrive. Conversely, the item out of stock I found on Next's website on Saturday afternoon and it was delivered Monday lunchtime.

Yes, the last order took over a week to arrive. I have one due tomorrow but I haven’t yet had the email saying it’s left the warehouse.

Not boots but superdrug orders are taking forever to arrive, ones been lost despite a hermes message saying they received it 🙄

I've had problems with boots for a while. They take ages to arrive and then they sent everything the same day in separate boxes.

My order arrived today, all complete. But I am definitely not the only one having problems as the online reviews show. Huge amounts of one star reviews rolling in.

Annoyingly, I got an email today saying that my order due to be delivered tomorrow will be delayed to an unspecified date. FFS.

See, you should be able to cancel at that point. If it hasn't been dispatched and they are messing you around, why can you not cancel it? But you can't.

I know that it’s Christmas but Boots is a large national chain with significant revenues and an established online ordering capability.

Leaving aside for the moment the fact that their website sucks, it should not be taking over a week to get an order from them. The fact that it is suggests that they have not invested enough into their online business and even after the last two years, have not made an effort to improve it.

Yes my dd on Monday 6th. Told order ready for collection, went, only one item there, they could not find other two (3 for 2 offer). Staff useless just kept saying we have had a good look and can't find the rest. They finally rang to check to be told it had been delivered to them. Problem worse cos offer needed 3 items to work. Reordered at shop, email confirmation once she had left only one reordered and delivery on the 17th!!

They should let you cancel its silly they don't. They showed it on the tv news they have fancy robots and stuff but their website is so painful to use a lot of the time I give up.

Interesting you say that I've struggled since about August too. Before that it was brilliantly efficient and turned up super quick.

Oh no....I ordered from them on the 7th, as will be in very remote location for Christmas, and limited in what I can carry. Will be stuffed if it doesn't turn up.Confused
