Poor milk supply?

DD is 11 weeks and I noticed a week or so ago that her nappies weren’t as wet as normal even though she seemed to be feeding the same. I got her weighed and she hadn’t gained much weight at all in 2 weeks, only 20g. She then started to fuss and barley latch on, which I presume was frustration.

I started supplementing with formula once on a morning and same on an evening as I was worried about her weight, but made sure to pump each side to maintain what supply I have. She’s now started to barley latch on at all and my breasts just seem so soft and ‘empty’, so she isn’t interested. When I squeeze them milk does squirt out so I’m unsure what the problem is.

Today she’s refused to latch at all and I’ve barley pumped any milk to give her, so I’m gonna have to give her another bottle of formula this afternoon Sad

Could it be she’s used to a bottle now? I’m so upset and really don’t want to stop BF.

I’d appreciate if anyone had any advice

Following as I’m having a similar problem myself with 11 week old DD. I supplemented formula on the odd feed due to reflux and now I’m worried I messed my supply up Sad have you seen a feeding specialist? My HV referred me and I found it really helpful to talk to someone about it.

Also, are you keeping hydrated? I think not drinking enough is part of my problem Blush

Oh bless you, sound like you're doing amazing! Keep yourself well fed and hydrated and feed responsively as much as post from both breasts. Your milk supply will adjust if you keep feeding! Have you tried power pumping? X
