I've never a dad growing up. In my teens I craved love but was very shy and reserved to ever approach anyone, however had common sense to know that guys can be idiots. Eventually when I did say yes to this one guy at college, I later found out he was seeing someone else too. Same throughout the next few relationships, they were messaging other women behind my back.
I dont think I've truly ever felt love from a significant male.
I just want to know from a male perspective

What is your opinion of men who abuse their partners? Have you ever known a male who did this, what was their reasoning behind it?
