Trying for a baby / confusion about ovulation

Hi, can anyone help please? I'm 27 and I'm currently feeling so heartbroken and deflated. We've just started trying for a baby, I've been using the flo app to track my periods / ovulation. My last period was 19th - 23rd November. My periods are usually 35 days. Up until last year they use to be every 28 days. So I'm now going out my mind with worry that my body is broken. My fertile ovulation days on the app are 5th December - 11th with tomorrow (9th December) been the peek day. I keep getting negative ovulation ( clear blue digital & normal strip test day after day. Is it possible the app is wrong with my ovulation days? Should I test every day for a month? Is there a certain time of day I should be testing? Does it matter if my urine is really hydrated as I drink a lot of water, can this affect the result of my tests? I'm totally new to the whole ttc and don't really understand it all yet. With my first baby I was 18 and he was conceived when I was on pill with an ear infection. Just looking for some kind words of wisdom really xx

Those apps can be really unreliable. They're just based on averages.

You need to be using ovulation tests every day once your period is over. Then as you start to see a rise you test twice a day (afternoon is best) so I do one in the Am and one in the PM closer to the middle of my cycle. I would suggest a good few hours hold.

I got disheartened too with testing every day and not seeing a peak - but it did come but much later than any of my tracker apps predicted.

I actually only tracked for one month like that and didn't get pregnant but it did show me I ovulated late.

I didn't track the following month as we were house hunting and it was very busy. Just had sex twice towards 3 weeks into my cycle. My now 9 month old is currently sleeping on my lap.
