So another wee food thread about food portions...

So the half crispy duck that you can get from supermarkets, comes with the pancakes, spring onion, cucumber and sauce. Got a yellow sticker one from M&S today, total bargain Smile.

How many does it feed in your house?

Tbh I could polish it off myself Blush but it probably could feed 2

Mrsjayy · 07/12/2021 20:01

Google said it feeds 4 I'm obviously just a greedy sod !

Depends what else you have with it surely? Sometimes DDs have duck pancakes as a meal. Sometimes we have it as part of a bigger selection of Chinese food.

Me and dh share half a duck. If anyone else expects any we get 2!

Mrsjayy · 07/12/2021 20:13

To be fair I would have it as my dinner. I get one from tesco sometimes and it's a starter but I eat it as a meal.

christmaskittenincoming · 07/12/2021 20:20

So me and DD shared it!

Defo just for 2

I don't like duck, and DS is suspicious of new foods, so DD (9) and DH normally split one between them.

TheChosenTwo · 07/12/2021 20:22

We roast 2 whole ducks for a family of 5 here.
You don’t get much meat on our scrawny ducks, well not enough for us greedy bastards anyway. There is always leftovers, 2 is quite a lot considering one of the dds isn’t mad about duck but one is way too stingey.
I’m impressed that half a duck fed you and dd though!

It's a meal for 1 really 😄

I cook a whole duck and DD and I usually eat most of it with pancakes.
