Left leaning podcasts?

I listen to a lot of current affairs podcasts, and typically they tend to be right of centre or more conservative (small c). I like spiked, planet normal, off script, the spectator podcasts.

I'm keen to broaden my listenership - it's nice to have your perspective challenged or see a contrary argument.

I'll give anything a go as long as the discussion is courteous and tolerant of being disagreed with (bonus points if people actually disagree on the podcast and noone bursts into flames)

Any lefty types or left leaning mumsnetters able to offer some recommendations please? Thanks.

The New Statesman podcasts are good. I’m a huge fan of Stephen Bush. Sometimes his sentences can be a bit long and rambling but his as analysis is spot on.
You could also try ‘Oh God What now?’ Formerly Remainiacs. The Guardian Politics weekly might also be worth a try.
‘For the Many’ is a two-hander with a left and right winger.

This American Life is a PBC type podcast. I really like it

In Our Time on BBC (not left or right, usually just a bit highbrow)

I also like the bbc scientific podcasts. Jim Al Khaleli does one that's good

Reasons to be Cheerful with Ed Miliband and Geoff Lloyd. They explore issues like universal income, gender inequality, the future of public libraries, taking back control from big tech. Sone really interesting and sometimes challenging issues. If you like Succession, Geoff Lloyd does one with his wife, Firecrotch and Normcore. It's very funny.

I really like For The Many as well. Iain Dale and Jacqui Smith are obviously good friends but from different political backgrounds. They talk about everything from the week in a really insightful way and it never gets heated or preachy. It's probably my main source of news.

I really like the week unwrapped podcast, which is meant to be neutral but is always a nice measured discussion and I would say the regular panellists are left so it does sway that way from their opinions. Nice stories of lesser known things that happen in the week and then they discuss.

Sway by the NYT's Kara Swisher has excellent interviews mostly around American politics and tech developments - she often gets some real heavy hitters on there.

Fantastic, thanks everyone. I'll give all those a go and report back!
