OP, you’ve started about ten threads over different boards about your weight. You gave birth not long ago, you need to focus on nourishing your body instead of beating yourself up.

In the kindest way possible, these threads can’t be helping you Flowers

I gained 3 stone with each pregnancy. Went from 8st to 11st each time, but lost it within a few weeks

Nsky · 07/12/2021 22:43

2 st each pregnancy, only 2 boys, lost every 1lb both times in 6 weeks

Oh gosh loads. Over 2 stone. Took me about 2 years so shift it.

TattiePants · 07/12/2021 23:45

I went the other way and lost weight. I weighed myself the day after I gave birth and was 3.5 stones lighter than my pre-pregnancy weight. I really wouldn’t recommend being sick 15 times a day for 9 months though!

Bells3032 · 07/12/2021 23:50

Currently 32 weeks and gained about 5lbs so far. But I was high bmi to start and have developed gestation diabetes which seems to have made me lose a bit (silver lining I guess)

laurenGame · 07/12/2021 23:59

@Cheesewiz

1st pregnancy 4.5 stone 2nd time 1 stone
Did you do anything different? I guess you did, just seeing what it was. I guess it was eating less 😂
bethabean · 08/12/2021 00:04

Personally I don't weigh myself during pregnancy as I know I can be triggered into having negative thoughts over the number, but I can tell it's over 2 stone!
Not surprising as I've eaten loads and the wrong things through a lot of my pregnancy Blush I started off slim and 5'10 and now I look huge! I don't mind though as I am about to birth a lovely, healthy baby

HornbeamLane · 08/12/2021 00:13

I was 10st before pregnancy and gained 3 stone. It worked for me though and came off by the time baby was 4-5 months old. I think weight gain is individual. I know someone who only gained one stone and put on another post baby birth, and has stated that way.
I wouldn't focus on the weight, I'd just look at what is being eaten and whether it's healthy. When your pregnant your body craves things for a reason so just go with it. You lose an awful lot of weight breastfeeding, particularly as they get towards 6 months old (one friend gained 5st and lost all of it just from breastfeeding within 5 months)

immersivereader · 08/12/2021 01:14

Yeah about 3 and a half stone

Bugger to lose

GingerScallop · 08/12/2021 01:21

About 2 stones for both. But now 13 months later I still can't shake the 9lbs. I really need to start exercising

sarah13xx · 08/12/2021 01:21

3 stone but thought ‘don’t panic you’ll come out the hospital and itl all be gone’. Weighed myself when my baby was a week old and not even a stone of it had gone 😳 Fast forward not quite 4 months and all 3 stone has gone. I don’t know how or where but it’s gone! I did nothing to lose it, wasnt even breastfeeding. I go a long walk for an hour once a day. I must eat a lot less than I did when I was pregnant. I used to have two breakfasts every morning, it started when I had morning sickness and just never stopped. I would make a big lunch then have afters lined up (a biscuit, bag of crisps etc). I’d have snacks every evening out of boredom. A week after he’d arrived I had realised I hadn’t had a single bit of chocolate, not on purpose but just because you don’t have time or a spare hand to be able to eat! I’d be too busy when he was napping, getting washings done etc that I wouldn’t even think to go and eat then! I do feel so skinny now, even though I weight the same as before but just because I don’t have a big belly in the way anymore. Don’t worry about losing the weight, you won’t have to even think about it when your little one is here

Anaximedes · 08/12/2021 01:55

Anywhere between just under 2 and nearly 4 stone.

Letsallscreamatthesistene · 08/12/2021 03:24

I weighed 5kg more after my pregnancy than I did before I got pregnant.

Cant seem to shift it either but tbh I made my peace with it and just bought bigger clothes....

MimiDaisy11 · 08/12/2021 03:27

I think around 2-3 stone. It seemed to be the final few months it rocketed. Though it all came off quickly. I was so busy caring for baby I never had time for long lunches etc.

Missmonkeypenny · 08/12/2021 03:28

I put on 3 stone with the first, 4 stone with the second (polyhydramnious though, they think it was about 6kg of fluid) and 11kg with the third but delievered at 34 weeks

Letsallscreamatthesistene · 08/12/2021 03:33

I also think 'weight gain in oregnancy' needs to be clarified. Do you mean your weight after having the baby vs the weight you were before being pregnant?

I dont think its useful to compare your term preggo weight with pre-preggo weight because theres a lot more going on - fluid, a human, placenta.

timeisnotaline · 08/12/2021 03:37

I hope everyone commenting is reading the comments saying the op has started about 10 threads about her pregnancy weight and is obviously struggling with it. You just enjoy your baby op and once they are a coupe of months old look at adding more healthy foods and some exercise if you are up for it.

forallthetea · 08/12/2021 03:43

I put on 12lbs with each pregnancy. Effectively lost weight both times as by the time I got home from hospital I weighed less than before I got pregnant.

Im one of the few that really struggled to eat while pregnant. No food appealed to me, I rarely felt hungry, I never enjoyed eating anything even my favourite chocolate.

As soon as I'd start eating I'd feel full to the point I felt I was going to be sick.

The only other person I've ever heard say they felt like this was my mother!

HarrisMcCoo · 08/12/2021 06:58

Around 3st each time.

Vursayles · 08/12/2021 07:02

I piled on over three stone with both. Didn’t eat any differently compared to pre-pregnancy, I just seemed to explode when I got to 20 weeks.

GetBackinTheMilkYouRubberyGit · 08/12/2021 07:06

3 stones both times 💗 2nd time was twins!!

RampantIvy · 08/12/2021 07:09

I couldn't eat a lot when pregnant. I felt full after half a plateful of food as my baby was pressing on my stomach. I never weighed myself before and during pregnancy and the midwife didn't think it was necessary either. I think I put on about 1.5 stone.

Like a PP I lost it quite quickly by breastfeeding and walking up hills with a pram.

ufucoffee · 08/12/2021 07:14

3 stone. Wasn't trying to lose it afterwards but I did come off pretty quickly because of breastfeeding and walking everywhere. Just enjoy your pregnancy. It really doesn't matter what weight you put on or how long it takes to get off.

Kinsters · 08/12/2021 07:17

About 2.5 stone each time. First baby I lost the weight in about a year, second baby is due imminently!
