Coffee machine for a Xmas gift

Would you give a coffee pod machine as a Christmas gift?

Background info-I work as a nanny and I wouod like a coffee machine in work. I am interested in the tassimo pods.

Would that be a good gift? I know selfish, giving them something I want and something that would benefit me. LOL

That’s a bad gift if they don’t want it. Why no buy one and just ask to store it there for work?

They already have a pod machine - nepresso but a few members did express an interest in the machine because of the variety of the pods available. I was thinking about the machine and a few packs of tassimo with the machine too.

Personally, I have a Nespresso machine and Tassimo tastes like garbage in comparison... no way would I choose Tassimo over Nespresso ... that may just be me though!

I wouldn’t buy a gift that requires the recipient to have to continually purchase items to use it unless they had specifically said they wanted one.

If they've already got a coffee machine, then how can your gift of another, different coffee machine look like anything other than a gift to yourself (at best) or a weird passive aggressive comment on their coffee provision (at worst)? Confused

We got given a Tassimo coffee machine about 8 years ago, it’s used most days in our house. It’s just the basic cheapest one, but we love it.

So why are you thinking of getting a Tassimo when they already have a much better machine? Confused

Thanks

I won't go there so

Pod coffee is really bad for the environment too!!

As an aside, I wouldn’t expect our nanny to buy us anything at all really, certainly not somethjng so expensive?

uncomfortablydumb53 · 07/12/2021 22:08

Sorry but compared to Nespresso, Tassimo tastes like instant with coffee mate

PugInTheHouse · 07/12/2021 23:38

Nespresso much nicer, the pods are recyclable also. I don't really understand who you are buying the gift for Confused
