I cant remember the details but I remember doing a bit of online research years ago and thinking it's not 100% impossible that Tupac faked his death!

I think those who sneer at people who question official narratives and label them as conspiracy theorists lack the ability to think critically, yet I'm also aware that those who believe evidently ridiculous ones also lack that ability.

Do you seriously think officialdom never fuck up and cover their tracks with a narrative they want the public to believe? Of course they bloody do! Take Dr David Kelly; nothing evidentially backs up the suicide story. There IS evidence that he was murdered but people like to think that government sanctioned assassinations only happen in Bond films. They don't and diplomatic immunity is a real thing.

Feeling a bit nostalgic for the 'God was an alien' and 'Pope John Paul I was murdered' conspiracy theories of yesteryear.

Oh, there's one I do believe! Roberto Calvi was murdered by the Mafia, I'm sure of that, and I do think that there is a lot if looking the other way in government, yes. I don't know though where organised crime really shades into conspiracy theories.

I used to be,Keven Pope John Paul I was murdered but I don’t any more. Do believe Calvi was murdered though.

TWA flight 800. It may have been the official cause. But it's awfully co incidental that the navy were practicing there and eye witnesses said they saw a missile.

Lots of rumours of friends of friends seeing trails, and yet others in the vicinity (as in very close to) the 747 just saw an explosion and there’d been a previous centre wing tank accident in similar circumstances previously (fortunately on the ground)…

Mind you the resultant restrictions on fuel pump usage with low fuel level in the tanks came in PDQ afterwards and Boeing introduced centre wing tank inerting on the centre wing tanks of many of their aircraft fairly soon thereafter…I guess if the theory continues it must almost include the belief that they must be in on it as well.

I've been rewatching Narcos on Netflix. The US government have always been shady as fuck! They are perfectly happy to stand by and watch people suffer, entire countries fall and economies collapse if it furthers their agenda.

I know Narcos is a TV series not a documentary, but I suspect the storylines underplay their ruthlessness rather than exaggerate it.

I read a CT about Katy Perry really being Jon Bennet ramsay and someone commenting mentioned April Levigne being replaced by a lookalike but I've never read anything about it specifically. What was it read made it really believable?

I believe that the Government Scientist, who was challenging the ‘dodgy dossier’ on the illegal Iraqi war, Dr David Kelly was ‘neutralised’ by the UK state. The Official Line is that he committed suicide in the woods. By cutting his wrists and taking an overdose. Yet, the Paramedics who attended the scene innocently said that it was odd that they was very little blood at all, when there should have been pools of it on the ground beside him. His wrists were deeply cut, so the only explanation for that is that they were cut after death! There was no inquest, despite that always being the case for deaths in the circumstances of his. This despite repeated calls by a large group of well respected doctors and scientists over several years. I have a healthy cynicism about the ‘official line’ and the actions of those in power, but this happening in the UK really shocked and depressed me!

I'm fairly convinced Covid was a lab leak, I don't think it was intentional, but lab leaks happen and the location is too coincidental. My MIL worked in virology for many years and had some horror stories about near misses with leaks that never became public - can entirely believe this was the same.

These are relatively mainstream and boring as conspiracy theories go though!

I think the difference between mainstream/believable theories and "are you feeling alright?" is interesting. Epstein's death being a murder makes sense in a top level way - if had did have access to a huge amount of damning info about influential people, it makes sense to get rid of him. Same with Covid - lab leaks do happen, the location makes it more likely, the lack of transparency we know the Chinese government displays makes it likely they'd cover it up. You can see the motivation for it.

But stuff like flat earth (or its hilarious cousin, hollow earth) - what's the motivation? What does us believing the opposite achieve?

Fully believe JFK was accidentally shot by one of his own body guards and it has been covered up ever since. I’ve looked out of the the Dallas Book Dispensary- unless defying the laws of physics as well as being a fantastic marksman was a talent of Oswald’s.

Diana’s death was so clearly an accident, I cannot comprehend how people are still convinced otherwise. She didn’t wear a seatbelt, car crashed at speed. Not exactly shocking that death was the end result. She was never going to marry Dodi al Fayed, they’d been together 5 minutes, the RF would not have killed her off over moderate embarrassment at her flaunting her summer shag to the press.

I do think the petrol shortage in September was deliberately caused to sell off the E5 petrol. Petrol has a use by date and sales have been dramatically down since lockdown was first announced.

I think Diana was killed, but I am not sure how they could have ensured she did. She wasn't a fool, she would have worn a seatbelt, and if she hadn't the bodyguard would have insisted on it. Fayed's driver would have surely been swaying if he was as drunk as they say he was. The bodyguard and Fayed's would have known if they had a drunk driver employed wouldn't they?

I’m in the camp that Diana’s death, while sad - was very much an accident - brought on by her courting the press at every opportunity. they went after her and it all ended horribly.
