Rear facing a 4 year old in car seat?

I have seen some really frightening videos of my son's car seat in a crash. It's horrible.

But I don't know what to do. We tried lots of different seats before the one he has now - Spent ££££. He escaped all of them. All of them fitted correctly and installed by a shop called in car safety centre in MK.

We tried accessories like the clips and attachments that supposedly stop them getting out the straps. Nothing worked. He escaped them all

We had this issue from around age 2 to just before age 4 when I finally tried the Cybex Pallas and he's so happy in it

What would you do in my situation? I feel so guilty risking his life like this!

He has special needs

I am a bug advocate of ERF.

But - he's much much safer in a car seat than out of one. You've done brilliantly to get to 4. I would just accept it I think.

It's just awful knowing my son's seat is basically a load of crap
