Celtic & Co Baby Shoes - Has anyone had them... sizing?

I have bought some shoes from Celtic & Co for a friend’s baby due to be born in February. They offer two kinds of baby shoes - 'Pram Shoes' and 'Crawler Shoes'. Both are theoretically 11cm and both say they are suitable for ages 0-12 months.

Crawler Shoes – www.celticandco.com/kids/kids-sheepskin-slippers/crawler-shoes?issearch=true

They are also being sold through John Lewis - only the Crawler Shoes (they don’t sell the Pram Shoes), again marketed as 0-12 months.

I chose and have ordered the Crawler Shoes as they have a strap. However, I now see from one of the reviews from 2019 that the Pram Shoes used to be sold as 0-6 months and Crawler Shoes used to be sold as 6-12 months.

Having read the reviews I feel none the wiser as to sizing. Has anyone actually purchased either of these - if so, are you able to offer any advice on fit please?

Since I don't think the baby will want them in the summer months, do you think the Crawler Shoes would be suitable for roughly 0-3 months, or do I perhaps need to change them for the pram shoes?

Many thanks in advance!

Regardless of sizing, those pram shoes would have been flicked off both of my kids feet within about 10 second of being put on- the ones with the strap look much better.

Those are really lovely - and I can’t help on what size would be better, so feel free to ignore this, but I’m expecting now and I’ve been surprised at how often the midwives/NHS documentation/health visitor etc has said not to use shoes until baby is standing up.

We’ve got two really cute pairs from people when we announced, both 0-3, but I don’t think we’ll use either… as cute as they are, they seem to be a really bad idea for the child’s foot.

So the crawler shoes might be better, if they’re bigger and could be used later on?

Thank you, ladies. Yes, the crawler shoes look better, I just wondered if the weather will be too warm for them by the time they fit if they are for 6-12 months.

Spoke to someone at C&C who had both styles for their nephews/nieces and they advised to go for pram shoes initially. Apparently the pram shoes are much softer as they have no structure to speak of and have soft but secure elastic built in around the top so very easy to put on. Might help someone else trying to make the same decision.
