Can I see your wreaths please?!

Sounds vaguely sinister! After 20 odd years my wreath has given up the ghost, and I can’t decide whether to replace it with a similar one (wooden star shaped thing), or whether to go for green. Or, indeed, something else.

Please can I see yours? :)

I made this one because I changed my colour scheme on the tree this year and decided to stick the old baubles to a pool noodle rather than leave them for years in the loft.

Ooh that’s so pretty @CamsPaisleyCuffs

WhiskersPete · 06/12/2021 22:58

I have just ordered the main part but am yet to add the decorations. I will post when it's done.

CranberryandVodka · 06/12/2021 22:59

This is mine that I made this weekend. Hydrangea and mistletoe from the garden.

That’s lovely @CamsPaisleyCuffs. Great idea to use a pool noodle. What did you stick them on with?

Please do @WhiskersPete :)

Oh that’s lovely too @CranberryandVodka. Did you just buy one of those oasis ring things and stick the greenery in?

@CranberryandVodka that's so lovely, anything vaguely green in my house dies a slow and painful death with the central heating and I can't put it on the outside of my front door or it'll get nicked Blush.

@Wendyer I just used a hot glue gun and a piece of tinsel to fill in the gaps around around edge. I've now also added some battery operated fairy lights. You can never have too many fairy lights. Grin

CranberryandVodka · 06/12/2021 23:13

@Wendyer, it’s on a wicker wreath. Bunches of greenery made up then tied on with garden twine, hessian bow at the bottom. Contemplating adding twinkly lights but think I like it just the way it is.

That is absolutely beautiful. I'd love to be able to create something like that

B&Q had some nice artificial ones in-store and they have 20% off at the mo. Ours is about 30 years old and belonged to DH's parents but we too have added fairy lights to it this year. It seems to be the "in thing".
