The elves arrived at our house on December 1st and brought a box of christmas activities/stuff to do. This included lots of books and my eldest ds (8),who has found a love of reading this year, was really pleased to find The Christmasaurus by Tom Fletcher in the box. He started reading it straight away and hasnt put it down since. He told me tonight he's worried he won't finish it by Christmas because he thinks the elves will take it back to the north pole on Christmas Eve when they leave.
Before bed he brought me down a scrunched up post it note and asked me to read it. He has written "can you ask the elf if I can keep the book?"
I really want to write a note back from the elves saying yes he can but I want a little rhyme but I am absolutely shit at stuff like this. Would anyone like to offer any suggestions as to what I could put? Just a couple of lines.
I could probably come up with something if I really thought about it but it's been a long day of hospital appointments with younger ds and also baby dd who was refusing to go to sleep tonight. I dont have the brain function for this tonight but dont want to be a crap mum as this will mean alot to ds. He still fully believes in it all. Please help if you have any ideas.
thank you
