Update driving licence

I need to update my name, title and address on my driving licence. It's a postal application 🙄
Anyone done a postal application recently and have an idea of how long they are taking to process? I am aware of delays due to COVID but wary about having to send my marriage certificate off for a long time.

I got mine back last week after sending it off in August.

www.gov.uk/guidance/dvla-coronavirus-covid-19-update lists what paperwork they are dealing with now - looks like 6 weeks absolute minimum.

I'd be tempted to change just the address (which you can do online - massively quicker) and sort the name out later.

Is your passport in the right name? I think I was able to link the 2 but didn't change my address at the same time. Alternatively can you send a certified copy of the original? I can't remember if DVLA will accept but most solicitors will only charge £5 or so especially if you take your own copy of the original at the same time.

@tobypercy that's a good idea, may just do that for now.

My licence is an old paper licence so also need a new photocard one in its place.

@Hall84 yes passport is in the correct name, IE my married name

Just moved house and waiting for my new license to replace my old green paper one.
On-line application followed up by ID check which involved sending my birth certificate. Been over 2-months now, not holding my breath.

Mine was just a renewal so needed a new photo. Went to a post office where they take the photo and send it for you. She said it could take 12 weeks! It took 3 days x

Just got my licence back but not the supporting documents( which are important) applied in early September, disgraceful.

My DD sent her card off to update the photo back in September. Still waiting!
