Is this an early positive or evap?

I'm not actually due my period for another 5 days, but I just took these tests, just because I like to torture myself and its a monthly routine I have been doing for 48 months in a row now 🙃.

I first dipped two of them and thought I saw 2 very faint lines coming up within 2-3 mins of taking the tests. I thought I couldn't possibly be pregnant because it just doesn't happen to folks like me, so I refuse to believe there's anything there but evaps.

To prove this to myself I got DH to take a test (the bottom one) and can't see an evap on that one, but again these moments of put happiness just don't happen to the likes of me.

So I'm asking for your honest opinions on whether you can see lines on the 2 tests, and if so do you agree with me that they are most likely evaps?

I can see the lines and if they came up within 2-3 minutes then I doubt they're evap lines. So, it's congratulations from me

I do have a FR and a CB but I don't want to waste them this early... Or should I just take them?! Next time I gotta tinkle or tomorrow morning?

I don't want to take the FR especially if it's just not going to show this early if my wee would be too diluted tonight.

Lol I looked at the pic before I read your post, and thought the top two look positive but the bottom one looks negative.

So the FR and the CB were negative as fuck. As they always are. I know it's early but if those IC tests genuinely picked up a positive 5 days early, then a FR definitely would have.

OK, I took an IC and to my surprise a line immediately appeared before my very eyes, so I took 4 more. I'm speechless.

Do they look like early positives should look? I don't understand why the FR didnt pick it up? I just refuse to accept it, I can't.

I know i should be really happy, but I'm not, I'm actually quite upset. Any time something like this happens to me it never turns out to be real positives (although I'll admit I've never seen faint positives this clear or on this many tests before). It's always evaps and bastard AF always comes a few days later. 4 years of this and I'm fucking sick of it, I can't do it anymore.

Oh op, everything crossed for you. Those tests do seem to pick up earlier. It's so difficult testing obsessively desperate to see the line come up. Try an early morning one and see if it's a clearer result.

It will be a long wait to morning, but I will do more then. I have ordered more FRs, CB and a generic pink dye test. They won't get here until Thursday and I can even go out and buy a test because I have sodding covid 😭 so until then all u have to go by are the ICs.

Forgot to say as well, I am only 9dpo 🙄🙈

@LunarEclipseWinterSolstice 😬 song is a reflection of the fertility struggle - stuck in a cycle you feel you can't ever leave. Let's hope you're checking out of the hotel this time. Keep going with the cheap dip tests, and feel like you can do them as often as you want until you know for sure - you will do less of them if you don't feel restricted, but can literally get loads of them on eBay so cheaply it doesn't matter.
I hope you get a darker line this morning; you are testing very early, so try to give yourself a mental break if you can. There's no point in saying wait until period due as I know the desperation you feel to know

Tests were completely negative this morning. Tbh I wasn't expecting anything different.

Sorry to hear that. I always found First Response less reliable than the cheapo tests, and I could never resist testing early. Hope things happen for you soon.

Thanks for your replies. I got more faint positives last night and some this morning with smu. Dared to get all excited and happy then I realised when I wiped I have started spotting. It always happens 2 days before my period starts. So that's it for me then. That's 4 years to the month and I'm giving up I can't go through this pain any more clearly we were not meant to be parents. I'm sitting on the bathroom floor and can't stop crying. I'm done.

Oh love, poor you. TTC can be so bloody cruel. Have you sought any help to try and understand why it is not happening? I wish I could give you a big unmumsnetty hug.

And I don't mean to get your hopes up, but some spotting can be implantation bleeding. With DS1 I thought I'd had a short period but was pregnant with him.
