Anyone going to Europe pre Christmas?

We are due to go to Brussels the week before. Free cancellation on everything but I would actually like to go.

Went away in Sept and really no different to that - pcr (or now LF) before and after flight home. The main issue is having to isolate waiting for the result but we would aim to pay extra to fast track.

I had no concerns at all in sept, but now feels risky! 🤷‍♀️ I wondered how others with trips planned were feeling?

Cancelled Budapest on 15th yesterday. I was going sans children so too risky in terms of missing Christmas if I test positive whilst there. Disappointing as haven’t been abroad since 2019.

Sorry to hear that @superram, I think I may end up doing the same. We’re planned to get back on the 23rd, have a party that night which is missable and then family meal on Christmas Eve. Thing is I don’t think I’m any more likely to catch it in Belgium than here really, it just doesn’t seem like a sensible thing to do.

The number of cases ripping through Europe says it all really. It just isn't a wise thing to do at the moment. Why I can't really tell you but the media will have you believe that it is totally irresponsible. It is very sad for people like us who are apart from families.

I'm taking the mammy to Prague next week. It may be the last holiday she can go on as she can't walk much anymore. Haven't been away in 3 year. Lf on way home (ireland) and that is it. There is only us two for Christmas so don't have to worry in that regard. I believe we are gonna have to learn to live with covid so....
