I don’t think there is any hope but wondered if anyone could shed any light. I had a scan at 7 weeks (internal) and they could only see a yolk sac dated approx 6 weeks. I am sure on my dates, I have a 28 day cycle and ovulate between day 14 & 16. I have been for another scan today (internal again) and they have seen what they think is a heartbeat but the embryo measures only 2.6mm which is the size for 5 weeks 2 days! They did comment on the position of my uterus making it awkward but I can’t remember the word they used.I don’t understand how there can be such a big discrepancy or how the heartbeat can appear at this late stage? I now have another scan next week. I have lost all my symptoms and I had a mmc 6 months ago almost identical to this (although no heartbeat was detected). Thanks
