Tail bone trials!

I have an old tail bone injury which is flaring up. Can anyone suggest a solution?

It was knocked during Labour and gradually recovered after. I just got an occasional twinge if I sat on a hard seat for too long.

It's flared up again though, and really hurts every time I stand up. Does anyone have any suggestions?

No one else found a remedy?

Mine is only just feeling less sore after an injury 4 years ago! Only thing I found that helped was using a doughnut type cushion on every seat to not put direct pressure on it.

Its possible and most likely you broke it during labour. I know i did. As such it cant be wrapped ip and healed in a normal way . I can feel mine grind etc.

Good to know a doughnut helps! I looked at various cushions online, but the reviews were all a bit dodgy.

To encourage you, my son is now 25 and it's honestly been fine for years! It's just been set off by something recently!

I injured mine during childbirth 18 months ago and took weeks to feel better, I have had one flare since. I just took ibuprofen, pillows when sitting, remember to move frequently. If I remember getting up from sitting was agony so if you can find some chairs you don't sink into then that would be good. If I think of anything else I'll come back

Chiropractor appointment?

RedDeadRoach · 06/12/2021 22:56

Physiotherapy is probably a good idea.

Thanks @Kayjay2018 . Believe it or not, I'd forgotten to take ibuprofen. It's usually my go to for back pain.

It's the pain on standing that gets me- I've rearranged chairs, raised my office chair and avoid sitting too long when I can. I'm going to try sitting cowboy style today, see if that helps! Grin

I broke mine during labour and it took about 5 years to not hurt but 25 is a lot! I would get it investigated.
