The best way to see a doctor whilst away from home ?

I live in Wales but i am staying in England for a few weeks. Ive got some symptoms that are actually really worrying me. I called my GP this morning and was told there is nothing they cpuld do until i go back and i was told to register as a temporary patient in england.
When i called the local GP i was told theyre not taking new patients and now i feel stuck, im scared and not sure what i could do

The GP where you are staying doesnt need to register you as a new patient, they can see you as a visitor. Did you tell them you were on holiday in the area?
Can you see if there is a walk in centre nearby? Some A&E depts have been downgraded to minor injuries units, so you could try that.

However if you think you have covid symptoms maybe ring 111

Could you try another surgery near where you are? Have you tried calling 111? Perhaps there is a walk-in clinic nearby? Or you may have to go to A&E. Hope you’re feeling better soon.

Yeah i told them im just visiting the area, all they said to that is 'unfortunatly we are not taking temporary patients at the moment'
Im not sure if my symptoms warrant any type of walk in? Im not sure i dont want to waste their time . 111 may be the best opition, thank you

Some walk in centres have GPs there to see GP type problems. Could you research what facilities are available near where you are staying?

Ive found a surgery that will give me an urgent appointment but im not sure if its best to go or to just wait to see my gp because communication between doctors when i go back may get mixed up ? I have found a lump under my boob and numerous small ones in my neck along with other symptoms

It's obviously bothering you a lot - I'd take the appointment. Do you have online access? I can see brief info on all my appointments etc. I'm not sure communication is as iffy as it used to be.

OP, if you're worried, I'd go and see there GP where your staying.

DD is a uni in Scotland, but we're in England. She had two emergency operations in Scotland, but ended up having another one while staying with us and then a planned one. She wanted to come home asap after second one and then really needed to be in Scotland after the third one, so travelled as soon as she was able despite needing follow ups and daily dressings. Surgeries in England and Scotland were brilliant and there weren't any communication problems.

I have no sort of online access to gp services or anything. They said i have to go there in person for fill in the forms so i think i will try snd get there in the morning, my only worry is that it if there is anything seriously wrong i will get lost in the system or somthint when i go back home
