Teenage DCs - how much attention do you play to what they watch ok streaming services?

DD is 15 and I know she watches programmes suggested by friends. I’ve never really paid too much attention as she’s generally quite sensible and there seems little point in trying to restrict what she watches at this stage as all her friends are watching the same things too. I do know that she’s watched series such as Sex Education and Big Mouth. Am wondering if I’m being too slack however. How much attention do you pay? Do you have restrictions in place? Or none but have open discussions? I don’t want her to feel spied on but I’m wondering if I have the balance wrong.

My eldest has recently turned 14 and we have a rule that she can't watch anything with an 18 certificate. Apart from that she can watch what she likes.

Thanks. Do you actually check to see if that is what she is doing? I didn’t aged 14 and took it in trust but I now know she has (and probably was then) watching 18 certificate series.

My two are 17 & 20 now and pay for their own streaming services. Prior to the age of 16 we only had Freeview & NOW TV so it wasn't really an issue. Ds lets me watch his Apple TV now and then (Ted Lasso), he sets it up for me.
