VENMO...how do I transfer money to this type of account?

Im in the UK I need to pay/transfer money in dollars to a Venmo account.

Any ideas?

I am in the US- I have a Venmo account. It’s not possible to have a Venmo account without a US bank account/debit card I think. (Or a US phone number).

Ok so how do I get this money to a person any idea????

It's not possible to use Venmo outside the US.

To easily transfer money internationally you can set up an account on Revolut or Transfer Wise, add GBP from your own bank account, convert the currency online then send it to a US / EUR bank account.

Ive got Revolut but they havent

So I have the dollars on my revolut can I pay onto their Venmo????

They just sent me a QR square no actual acc details

I don't know if you can pay directly into their Venmo when you don't have Venmo; I'm not sure how Venmo works.

If you have the dollars in your Revolut then ask them for their US bank details so you can transfer the money from your Revolut to their bank account. If Venmo provides a bank account number (like Revolut does) I assume you can pay into that.

Venmo is a bit like Paypal, you can only send money from/ other venmo accounts.

And it’s only available in the US.

Ask if they have PayPal or ask for their bank details.

They have Paypal...Ive got sterling on there, do I just send the sterling equivilent to the Paypal address and does Paypal convert it???

So now they dont have a paypal!!!! The say they have a bank account called - local credit union - Can I pay into that????

If they give you an account number and sort code that your bank verifies you can transfer money into pretty much any kind of bank account.
