So DD has just come in from her drama class not happy as she can't get in to Christmas Spirit as we haven't got Christmas Tree up. DH just out of isolation as he has had covid. Still not well. He has Gout and stomach problems. I've got covid and not out of isolation till Wednesday still feeling ill. Are we bad parents? The Christmas Tree is at my husbands work unit. Honestly I'm feeling so down.

No, it's only 4/12. Is there anyone who could go and fetch the tree for you though? then your DD could sort it out.

How old is she? If she's a teen then she needs to pipe down and learn that sometimes things go awry.

Bah humbug to her Grin seriously you sound like you have enough on your plate at the moment
Put on a Christmas film and lob mince pies at her
Hope you feel better soon

Sounds like she's doing the right hobby! Grin

Depending on her age, my response would be anything from "we'll get it up soon, don't worry" (younger age bracket) to "stop being so unreasonable and selfish and think about your ill parents" (teenager)

You're not bad parents.l! I don't start to feel Christmassy until the tree is up either tbh but if you're poorly it can't be helped! And it's still only 4th Dec so not like it's Christmas eve!

She is 10 years old.

My tree isn't up either considering I woke up.this morning and chose violence (in my daughters vernacular) by ripping apart my kitchen we don't have a jingle bell out anywhere absolutely nothing it will go up around the 12th as per usual

It’s 4th December! Ours would normally go up 12th. It’s up this year because I had a sniffly cold last weekend and we were housebound.
