Bizarre scenario but:
DH died in September. I went to his office this week to return his work laptop and id. I was given a bag of things from his desk, which included 2 mobile phones in their boxes. The boxes have been opened, the chargers aren’t in there, I don’t know if anything else should be in the box but isn’t. There is a post-it note in the iPhone box with a 4 digit number that could be the pin for it. I don’t know if they have SIM cards . I don’t know how to find out. I have iPhone chargers so can charge that but not for the Samsung. I have no idea why he had these or the iPad in a box that was also in the bag. I questioned it and said maybe they weren’t his but was told to take them anyway.
Anyway, I have a 10 year old and was already planning to get her a mobile for Christmas, so she can walk home from school without me etc. I googled these phones and they are old. If I can get them working, would they be functional enough for a 10 year old or are they basically obsolete? I am a technological dinosaur and know nothing about mobile phones. DH bought the iPhone I have now. I had iPhone 6 before this one, and he said it didn’t work because it was too old, but that might have been overuse rather than too old in technology terms? I don’t know if these have been used much or at all.
