Fishing wire or cable ties work best for me

I use florist wire for mine wrapped round the spindle then onto the garland

I use wrapping ribbon. I never found entwining to be secure enough

I tie mine to the bottom of the staircase (not the handle) with fishing wire stuff from the garage Grin

I use green garden traits tie wire for mine, top and bottom plus a couple of spots in the middle

I got some really good reusable clear plastic ties from the Range last year.

Mine is very similar to this, it’s artificial so use a couple of the branches and twist it round the back of the spindles. My spindles look narrower though so just branches just about reach.
