Good morning Mumsnet! What's everyone up to today?

I'm just drinking my usual cuppa, in silence,in the kitchen. It won't last long though - dd2's alarm has just gone off!

We're off for a day of Christmas shopping at a local Christmas market, with my Guides. Everyone's really looking forward to it - it's been over 2 years since we went out (and I think it will be the only day out for a while!).

The house is clean, and tidy. Just the washer to put on in a minute and then washing to hang before we leave.

No tea to cook later on - we'll eat while we're out. But I will enjoy a glass of wine when we get home tonight!

What about everyone else? :)

Isolating with covid positive dd. Hoping to have a good clean and sort out. Will also finish the last of the Christmas decorations. Crafting in between.

All the while, suspicious of any vague symptoms of other household members. Really hoping we remain negative, currently on day 6.

I'm going to bring dc to the cinema today.
The house is clean and we will just have pasta for dinner (easy)
Might buy a decoration for the Christmas tree.
Bit of hoovering at some stage. I have some Christmas magazines to get through.
That's it. Nice day.

Nothing fun planned. DCs with their dad, I need to spend the weekend revising for an exam on Monday and haven't looked at any of the coursework in 6 months due to work being nuts and life. Rugby match tomorrow for DS which will take 3 or 4 hours out of the day.
Oh I might be panicking now! 🤣🤪

@Grumpsy I feel your pain! I have been there many times with my own and friends’ horses.
Today I am clearing 2 days of horse poo from the field with a 2yo in tow. That should just about take all day I reckon 🤣

Day at home with dcs watching Christmas films and playing board games with a big box of chocolates, popcorn and pick and mix sweets. Not going anywhere today. All housework and homework done yesterday so nice chilled out day for us

Finishing this bugger! It's taken 2 days so far and I just want it to be over.

I promised the dc a trip to soft play tomorrow so I'll get my cooking/cleaning/washing out of the way today.

I've walked DDog & am having a lovely cup of coffee on my own with him on my lap😍🐕 he's going for doggy day care plus a sleepover tonight. I'm visiting a local art gallery with a friend this morning, which is always lovely at Christmas, finishing the tax return this afternoon, then this evening we're eating out at a local Italian restaurant. Plus washing, wrapping presents, writing cards, tidying up. DH will potter & help. DS is having a lie-in, mid way through mock GCSEs & babysat until 11pm last night so needs to catch up on sleep. Hope everyone has a good weekend.

Currently watching cbeebies with the little girl (too old to be a toddler now) and having breakfast. We've taken the dog for her first walk.
My brother is coming for lunch, I'm doing belly pork, roast potatoes and veg.

Wow, I feel like I’m doing my weekends wrong, reading about all this socialising and hobbies! My DC are 3 and 5. Is that why my weekends feel like a bit of an endurance test?!

Stuff already out for putting up new blinds in sitting room.

Getting Christmas stuff out of loft and putting it up, finishing off a Christmas wreath I’m making , going for a walk, may have a take away tonight.

Most unusually- i have nothing on !!

Dd1 is on her paper round , dh is off to work soon , ds is on the xbox.

This evening i am dropping my husband off at his works Christmas do.

Mine was ment to be last night , but we work in a school so its been cancelled.

Might go wash up in a minute.

Everyone slept til 7:15, which is a lie in! Off on the bus to the library Christmas fair in a second, got a bunch of chores to do, need to pump four bottles for DD at nursery, probably walk to the supermarket later for more nappies!

Swimming lesson soon then myself and 3yo are off to Dr's for our flu jabs.

Usual onslaught of homework / chores and then we are off to my sisters for nephews party (just family but there are 13 kids!) and BBQ. Sister is an avid BBQ'er and they've been known to do Xmas Eve and NYE meals on the barbie so we'll be we'll fed.

Probably a few glasses of wine after kids go to bed and some Netflix.

I'm going to Hiit step this morning and then a walk through the woods with two if my friends.
Ds and his girlfriend have invited me and Dh round for lunch.
Late afternoon I want to watch a bit more of Get Back and then me and my friend are going to a gig in Manchester.

I recommend putting on CBeebies (or the first Shaun the Sheep movie) and wrapping them into duvets. Make popcorn and hot chocolate. Then do your own thing for a blessed 2 hours.

Taking DC to a children's show this morning, then lunch out with friends. This afternoon I need to soak the fruit for the Christmas cake and make a start on dinner while DH is out at a talk on a subject he's interested in. Then my parents are coming for dinner and drinks this evening.

Still in bed with fibro playing up but will get up, hang washing, tidy kitchen. Then into town for potter about on my own and buying some stocking fillers.
Dds will do the tree later, then pizzas and Strictly.
