I’m Emetophobic and have just woken up throwing up. This is my worst nightmare. I am terrified. Can I have water, will it help? I’m literally never sick so I don’t know what to do and what not to do😳 DS was throwing up later week so I guess I’ve caught the bug off him. Sorry for this lovely chat but there’s no way I’ll get back to sleep now!

I can’t sleep - sorry this has happened to you. I don’t know whether water will help though it might freshen you up a bit.Hope you feel ok soon. X

Temple29 · 03/12/2021 03:10

I would drink water and maybe brush teeth to help.

Can’t sleep either. Have a fever and bad cough so been awake since 11:30pm. Nervous about looking after baby and toddler all day by myself.

You poor thing. If I were you, I'd sip a little cold water, try to relax and distract yourself with a favourite book. If you can keep the water down, hopefully it isn't a vomiting bug.

Mummypig7 · 03/12/2021 03:13

@Fittowork Thank you! Think I might have a little sip and see if it helps. I’ve heard a lot of people becoming sick lately, there must be a nasty bug going round. I’m so tired but I feel a bit scared to go back to sleep😳 x

@Temple29 Thank you I’ll try that. Sorry you’re feeling rubbish too. I have 2 DC myself, and will have to do the school run in the morning, the thought of it is making me feel worse

@Bloodybridget I’ll give that a go then, thank you. Really hoping it isn’t a bug and maybe just a one off thing🤞🏼I’m due to go to a concert tonight that I’ve been waiting to go to for over a year but that’s looking unlikely now!

@Mummypig7 it’s tough going when you’re ill. Also if you’re tired but nervous about sleeping in bed try propping yourself up with plenty of pillows so you’re not totally flat.

SmellyOldOwls · 03/12/2021 03:47

Hope you're ok. If it helps, the first time you're sick is the worst. It gets less awful as your stomach empties - your tummy gets sore from retching but there's nothing to bring up.

Mummypig7 · 03/12/2021 12:38

Thanks everyone. Was sick again at 6:30am but touch wood nothing since. I still feel sick, I’m burning up, got the shivers and lightheadedness so not sure if it’s a bug or food poisoning! All I do know is that it’s horribleSad
