We're having a homemade work dinner this year and I've been tasked with pudding for 8 - chocolate!

I'm a competent baker/dessert maker but all out of inspiration.

I really want to amaze my new team.

What would you make?

Delia's famous Chocolate Truffle Torte

There used to be a recipe on here for a frozen chocolate mousse slice, which is delicious and can be made in advance. I'll see if I can find it.

Yes and no. We've got some apartments so I'll drive it there but we have kitchen facilities so have space to finish off and do anything last minute.

The Delia chocolate truffle torte is easy, impressive, travels well. If you don't have liquid glucose, sub golden syrup instead.

Agree with this, they're amazing. I have to ban myself from making them so I don't eat them all!

Good Housekeeping's chocolate hazelnut meringue roulade is delicious

I also love chocolate meringue topped with whipped double cream flavoured with vanilla, fresh raspberries & shaved chocolate. Stir some chocolate chunks through the meringue before baking.
