Ehlers Danlos Syndrome (EDS) - labour/birth

My husband has classical EDS (diagnosed genetically). I am currently pregnant with our first child, we don’t know whether the baby has inherited the condition but there is a 50% chance it has. We have been told that it would unsuitable for me to have an assisted delivery (with instruments) incase the baby has inherited the condition and as a consequence the instruments could cause harm to the baby due to the fragility of the skin.
Does anyone have any experience as a non-EDS mum, carrying a potential EDS affected baby? We’re you advised the same! Did you have a natural birth? Was your baby affected during the process of labour at all? Did you need any assistance with instruments - and if so, did everything work out ok?
My head is spinning constantly so any advice or experience would be greatly appreciated. TIA x
