Multifocal contact lenses

Have you ever used them? Are they any good?

I've got them.

As well as needing multifocal though, I also have an astigmatism.

I tried 2 sorts - the monthly ones, which are true multi focal. They worked quite well but as I only want them for occasional use, they were a waste as once opened they should be discarded after 30 days even if only worn a few times.

I now have daily disposables and although they are multifocal one is middle and long and the other is middle and short. I really am not aware of it though unless I close one eye.

These work much better as I only wear them when going out and have started wearing them again when going shopping to avoid the glasses steam up.

I also wear them when doing any major cooking as an unexpected by product of them is (1) no steaming up and (2) even better, no crying with onions etc.

I only looked in to getting them because I feel so unsafe wearing a mask with glasses steaming up and being unable to see where my feet are.

I have them and they're okay, but I can't really see close in them. Great middle and long distance vision, but uncomfortable for reading or phone use.
