Daughter has one pair that she wears every Thursday one day a week. Hopefully they will last the year.

We have 2 pairs and they have PE twice a week.
They should last ok as long as she doesn't have a growth spurt.

Pegasussnail · 01/12/2021 10:20

Mine have a few plain navy pairs and they last well.
One will last the year If only worn one day a week in term time. Of course she could grow!
I cannot risk one pair as our boys skid around on their knees etc.

Do your kids wear the same joggers at home?

We have two pairs of tracksuit bottoms but purely because they came as a two pack. I would have only bought one pair. She also has a skort that she wears in the summer sometimes.

Ours have lasted more than a year before when she didn’t have a growth spurt and are usually still good enough to hand down when out grown.

Mumdiva99 · 01/12/2021 10:23

No mine don’t.
ElvenDreamer · 01/12/2021 10:25

One pair each, I bought them a bit long, they're on their 3rd year now and looking fractionally short so new ones next year! This means my DD (now yr 6) will have done the whole of primary school with 2 pairs in total, DS 1 will do it with 3 pairs, we'll see for DS2 but his are all excellent hand me downs anyway. (DS 1 hates trousers so rarely wears them)

badlydrawnbear · 01/12/2021 11:36

2 but only because they only came in packs of 2

LegoPandemic · 01/12/2021 11:46

One pair and a set of skins to go under shorts. He does PE twice or three times a week- Hockey and Rugby at the moment.

Spudlet · 01/12/2021 11:48

They came in a two pack so he has two pairs. He wears the spare pair for after his swimming lessons as they’re warm and relatively easy to wrangle onto a damp child afterwards.

Equimum · 01/12/2021 13:26

We have two pairs, but one gets used outside of school. They were a twin pack in September and I appreciate having a spare in case on emergency.

LakeShoreD · 01/12/2021 13:36

One pair for weekly PE sounds fine, why would you need more unless she has a growth spurt?

We have loads because they’re worn 3 times a week- once for ballet, once for PE and again for swimming as it’s easier for them to change versus the regular uniform. Also, the PE kit was the daily nursery uniform last year and she hasn’t grown that much so we’re still using them. If they’re still in decent condition they will hopefully go to the youngest for when he starts at the nursery.

MinnieMountain · 01/12/2021 13:37

He wears whichever are scruffiest (no holes though).

idontlikealdi · 01/12/2021 13:38

Why would you need more? Mine have a pair of school joggers, PE twice a week. I wash them in between if they're dirty.

They don't wear school kit at weekends.

SaintDrogo · 01/12/2021 14:47

4 pairs each. They wear branded sports trousers every day to school. (1 secondary, 1 primary age.) No changing allowed for PE and they each have PE 4 times a week. I can’t face the fight of making them wear school trousers for the remaining day a week.

SaintDrogo · 01/12/2021 14:48

And they wear the same ones evenings/weekends too, just change once they’re home.

BernardsarenotalwaysSaints · 01/12/2021 14:52

Well they all wear black joggers at home if we're not going out (& they're all ds5(4) ever wears really because of his eczema) so around 5 pairs each. They have one pair of rugby shorts each for spring/summer, replaced/handed down as needed.

Comedycook · 01/12/2021 14:52

Just one...he only wears them once a week so no need for more
