Achoo! Rabbit allergy

Took my dog to the vets today. Someone was in there with some rabbits in a carrier. I started with hives and watery eyes almost immediately then have been sneezing and a runny nose since.
Vet said it was a rabbit allergy. How long to per allergies last? I still have a runny nose 8 hours later

How long do pet allergies last even!

Everyone is different.
If I'd been close enough to get hives etc I would've had to have a shower and change clothes when I got home.

Have you taken any antihistamines?

I have yes. Changed and showered when I got in, clothes into the laundry but still have a runny nose. I haven’t ever been near rabbits before. These had long fur.
