Places to eat with kids - Birmingham City Centre

HamCob · 29/11/2021 22:53

We're hoping to visit the Xmas market with our kids ages 6 and 9 next week.
Any recommendations for eating out with kids in the city centre please?
They will eat pretty much anything so all suggestions welcome!

Eat at the market - part of the experience

Giraffe in Grand Central is great for kids and good value too

The markets will be busy, what time were you thinking of going?

Tamatanga next to the train station - indian fusion with nice atmosphere.
Lots of nice places in Grand Central/Bull Ring - DD13 likes Yo Sushi and Vietnamese Street Kitchen (their decor is really lovely too).

Only eat at the market if you want to eat overpriced food in the cold, better to go there for dessert such as pancakes or chocolate strawberries.

It will be a weekday. They have an inset day so we'll probably catch the train and arrive at about 10 and stay until 4.30ish. Will also be popping into the bullring.

I think by lunch time they will probably be ready to put their feet up
somewhere warm!

Dishoom is lovely on a cold day.

I would stick to Grand Central/bullring too.
Giraffe is a good shout but that whole section of Grand Central is great for kids and a real mix of food.

Mowgli is really fun (it has rope swings!) and has a good kids menu.
Another favourite with the dc is @pizza because you can design your own pizza.

Damescena, which is a Syrian restaurant is lovely.

Franco Manca, lovely Italian pizza place that is family friendly

My kids love the yakinori/yo sushi type of places.

Don't forget about tilt (pin ball cafe) and Tokyo toys while you're in town.

bonfireheart · 30/11/2021 07:15

Yakinori is GC has closed down :/

There is also the cat cafe! We've never been but always looks popular

JuneOsborne · 30/11/2021 07:17

Cat cafe was cool, but the food was shit!
