What to get car obsessed toddler who had basically every car!

My son will be 3 in March and he's absolutely obsessed with vehicles! Cars, fire engines, ambulance, trains just the whole lot really!

He's got like every vehicle known to man and I don't know what to get him! I don't really want to spend money on things he isn't going to play with or get much enjoyment out of because all he plays with is cars!

Even in nursery I ask what he's been up to and every time he says playing with the trains!

Any ideas of some toys he may enjoy?

Thanks x

Dress up mechanic kit or a garage?

Bonelesschuck · 29/11/2021 21:18

Tomica do nice car/train sets, eg Tomica city stuff. The big train track sets can be spendy but they have smaller sets too. My car mad boys loved them when they were small.

Does he have Matchbox Cars or Hot Wheels, you can never have too many of those if you're car mad.

There is also a carrier to transport them in.

Does he have Brio? That's another thing you can never have too much of.

Duplo - so he can build his own cars.

Does he have a bike and scooter?

Oh that brings back memories! DS loved Tomica cars!

Remote control car? The hot wheels ultimate garage with the dinosaur?

BingoandBluey · 29/11/2021 21:22

A steering wheel toy for when he's in his car seat? Or tickets for a steam train ride!

When I was little an obsessed with cars, I had a garage for Christmas. A practical present as it gave me a place to store all my cars so no one would fall over them

VirusgonnaVirus · 29/11/2021 21:26

More cars, car mat, car garage, trains, track, more trains.

Honestly you can't have enough

Same, same issue! We have some much loved car play accessories:

  • multi storey car park
  • car wash
  • Road play mat (used daily)
  • wooden blocks that can make roads and bridges

There are also some nice Duplo sets that build fire engines, diggers etc.

Flufflekins · 29/11/2021 21:29

My 2 year old is exactly the same! His favourite thing at the moment is his road map rug. Would defo recommend if you don’t already have one!

Motherofplants · 29/11/2021 21:49

Monster trucks? There are so many monster jam trucks out, all different sizes and designs, a few RC, and of course the accessories and sets like kinetic sand arenas. I have collected the latest set of 12 miniatures to tie onto our Xmas tree as baubles after bed time Xmas eve Grin

This road jigsaw was very popular with our mildly car obsessed DS: www.argos.co.uk/product/9373570

Do Lego have anything to do with cars?
