Can I relax about dd blood test yet? Going mad with worry here!

My 6 year old has had swollen glands which have given her two lumps in her neck for just over 2 months now - I took her to the doctor after a while of them not going down and he arranged for some blood tests.

The blood tests were done this morning. If there was anything horrible wrong with them I would have heard by now wouldn’t I?

I am not normally a person to go straight to the worst case -she is my 6th child and I am used to all the odd little illnesses they get etc but for some reason I just have a really panicky feeling about this.

You poor thing.

Can't help on the blood tests (we usually get ours back in one working day but then takes gp time to review/sign them off). However my dd had raised lump nodes which didn't go down. We had a peads referral and they were shotty glands (infection raised them and they just didn't go down).

This started when she was about 5 and she's 12 now and one in her neck is still easily visible. Consultant said pretty common. Fingers crossed it's something similar.

DH recently had blood tests for a blood clot and was contacted that day to say his d-dimer was raised and he needed to get himself back for blood thinning injections. In my experience bad news travels fast when it comes to blood tests etc.

If they were very very worried they would rush them through today and you'd have heard today. You won't hear from them today, so try to relax this evening and tonight, you'll likely hear tomorrow. Fingers crossed everything's okay x
