Sorry my feet poo a bit

Just read this in a book. “Sorry my feet poo a bit. I took everything off without realising” (as in shoes, socks)

Assuming it’s meant to mean his feet smell.

Never heard this before, seems bizarre. Anyone else?

Is it a typo for pong?

PeachesPumpkin · 29/11/2021 20:35

Pong

I thought of pong too but surprised that that typo would have made it as it’s an international bestseller in a new edition

What's the book? It just seems like a horrible sentence construction all round. Name and shame!

It’s Never Let Me Go by Kazuo Ishiguro!

Oh wow, I actually love that book! Never noticed that sentence in it. It's really jarring!

Cobiemakesmesmulder · 29/11/2021 21:20

Yeah if something poos a bit it smells. It's like saying pong. Like holding your nose and saying pooey.

I love that book, don't remember that at all, but then it didn't affect the story.
