Air source heat pump

Hi, does anyone here have an air source heat pump to power their home?

We bought home 3 months ago with this heating system installed, never had a proper tutorial on how to use it. Just checked our first electricity bill and it's huge! I'm freaking out about how much money it's costing.

I wondered if anyone here had one and could direct me to some resources or suggestions on how to manage it please?

We have one, what are your bills?

We have one, it's worth using YouTube or manufacturer website to make sure you understand it. Your bill will be higher, but what are you comparing it to? So was your previous home the same size? What heading system did it have? And what electricity tariff are you on? Remember that everyone's bills have rocketed recently too. We have found it's still cheaper than the oil fired heating we used to have but it did take a while to get used to the best settings. And we also had a issue with the meter malfunctioning that took a while to sort so do bear in mind as a possible issue.

Our bill is about £300 per month, that is for £2500 sq foot house. It varies throughout the year, depending on outside temps. Our house is always 22 degrees though, 24 hours day so lovely and cosy.

I've been onto our supplier, we're using 3.36kw at the moment, there's heatedly anything on in the house and they said that was 'astronomical' and over 4x national average. Not helping my panic! Have a number to call for energy saving advice and need to get someone to assess the heat pump for efficiency

We have one. Our bill is £130 a month.

We didn’t have any heating before this year so it’s set to a tropical 16° !

We're booked in for a service, I've been obsessively checking the meter all day!
