Hi all / can anyone find updated guidance since the announcements? I wanted to find it but it’s all to mid November (I can find articles in bbc etc) but nothing official about face masks and travel? Interested as was planning a trip next year.

The day 2 travel PCR for coming into the UK starts 4am on tuesday. Dont know about masks as we never stopped wearing them in Scotland

It has to be voted through Parliament first - that vote is today with proposal that the changes come in to effect for tomorrow.

Had a look and mask wearing also seems to be driving Tuesday

I suspect there will be lots more changes between now and next year. I wouldn’t even worry about it!

Who knows where we will be next year. It will likely have changed several times by then

Noeuf · 29/11/2021 07:33

Yes that true, fawn 😂 I’m probably being a bit too organised.
Thank you everyone I didn’t realise it hadn’t been published - so it’s been said verbally (I’ve been out all weekend and not seen any news/papers)

It's in all the online news

@Noeuf

I think that's like looking out the window to see if it's raining, so you know whether you need to take your raincoat - on Friday.

I'd leave it until the last minute to book anything then make sure you have GOOD travel insurance from the minute you book!

SushiGo · 29/11/2021 07:38

The staff that update the government website don't seem to work weekends. It always takes a while to be updated.

Idroppedthescrewinthetuna · 29/11/2021 07:39

All year 7 and above are urged to wear masks in communal areas as of today.

Noeuf · 29/11/2021 09:29

Thank you everyone, catching up on comments.
@NovemberNovemberDarkNights you are right - we were going to book but I think we should wait til last minute and swallow any loss of discount etc
