Anyone like me, not doing much at the weekend?

I work 4 days a week in a physical job, I have 2 kids 15 and 18 and they do things with their friends. Friday is the day I tend to clean the house and do admin. The rest of the weekend is spent not doing much, I don’t have the energy or the motivation to want to do anything. I live in London and I feel I should be doing more but I don’t. I feel like if I do things at the weekend, it will go quicker and before I know it I’ll be back at work. Anyone feeling that ? I feel like a waste of space watching life going by. I don’t know what I expect with this post.

I love a weekend of nothing, I’m sure everyone thinks I’m super boring but I am happy. I have so much running around to do all week with DS going to sports hobby. Still working from home and sometimes I don’t go out for days!

We’ve done bugger all this weekend, watched a couple of films, slept in, did some housework…..but I think if I did that every weekend it wouldn’t be good for me. I need to make myself do something, a walk, some exercise, coffee out…

But that’s me, I need to make myself do something or 8 start spiralling down. You are you, maybe in your life at this point in time you need downtime….but not for ever.

I'm very much like you! I'm a natural introvert and feel like I need some quiet time without people around and with no to-do lists or schedules. I spent yesterday with friends and while I enjoyed it, it does feel like I've lost one of my relaxing quiet days this week!

I’m extrovert during the week and introvert during the weekend! I do have coffees out sometimes but yes I need to move my butt more but like you @nordica - I feel the same if I was seeing friends, I’d feel robbed out of a quiet day but I need to make myself do things - and ignore the anxiety about seeing the weekend going too fast, I don’t even dislike my job

Do you want to do more with your weekends or are you happy kicking around? If you live in london and want to do more then you have a lot of options

Oh i get bored doing nothing. I love being out of the house even though i love my home, being indoors all day at work cooks my brain. Weekends are usually a very long walk (6-10 miles), a half marathon or a walk on Snowdon or whatever mountain i fancy.

I cant bear doing nothing
