A question for ex-smokers

If you were out with a friend/partner/ or just in the vicinity
Would you prefer the smell of a cigarette or a vape?

This if you are a happy ex-smoker, not craving or anything.

Vape. Absolutely hate the smell of cigarettes.

Vape. I've not smoked for 7 years and it absolutely stinks.

I’d prefer cigarette smoke to the fruity smell of some vapes, but you can get vape that has no smell but still contains nicotine. XH used that very successfully.

Thirty years since I quit.I can only tolerate vaping.

Vape. Bit less stinky.

Can't stand the smell of smoke anymore. Would choose vape anyday.

Can’t stand either but prefer vape over smoke.

Cigarette. Get away from me with those disgusting vapes and huge clouds of smoke!

To be honest, neither. Cigarette smoke is unbearable as it’s so thick to me now I literally can’t stand the strength of it blowing my way. Vapes less so, but I worry they are also poor for health and a bit of an unknown in terms of long term effects. I’m pregnant so do my best to avoid anything that smells toxic! X

I always think ‘lucky bastards’ as well Couldn’t smoke one now if you paid me.

This thread brought to mind a relative in her mid 60s who was in hospital in Ireland. It was a private hospital as many opt for private health care in that country.

Anyways, she was giving her history to the attending doc and he asked the usual Do you smoke? No said she, tick box.
Do you drink, yes said she and you can double whatever I tell you too!
etc.

Point of my rambling is that she vaped all the way through her stay (illicitly of course) in her bathroom and no one said or noticed a thing. Chest x-ray clear. On the vapes 8 years and smoked for 40 years.

I don't like cig smoke smell, but cannot smell vapes.

Most vapes are absolutely sickly vile. Like walking past a branch of Lush that's on fire. Give me cigarette smoke any day.

I dislike both equally. The smell of cigarettes is awful and the smell of many vapes is nauseatingly sickly.

Neither are pleasant but if I had to tolerate one, it would be the vape. Ex smoker of 4 years and I really detest the smell of fags and smokers.

I wish I’d really know how badly I stank.

Vape. I like some of the pudding-type scents :)

I'd rather smell cigarettes personally. I quite enjoy walking behind a smoker I can't bear the massive vape clouds, they smell vile to me and make me want to cough.

Cigarette, still love the smell. Vapes are horrible, they smell sickly sweet.

Can't stand either of them, but I have to say how surprised I am at how vile vape smells considering all the 'flavours'.

Fag smoke just makes me want one. So vape.
