Anyone spotted any decent looking artificial pre lit Christmas trees?

That don’t cost the earth? All my Christmas stuff got thrown away last year due to water damage. So I’m literally starting from scratch. I’m thinking a 5/6 foot tree. I’ve looked at Balsam Hill but they are very expensive. There’s only us two old codgers, so it not like we’ve got a houseful of kids. Problem with buying online is it’s difficult to gauge if they’re as nice as they look.

Mine is a silver birch so probably not what you are after but it’s prelit and really pretty when decorated. Is less intense than a big bushy tree.

We got a Balsam Hill for about half the price at a seconds sale they had in a warehouse a couple of weeks before Christmas.

Found the site on their website - don't think it said it was seconds and they haven't had that location on the years I've looked since, so it may be an occasional thing and was in the US but maybe worth contacting and asking if you like the trees? We love ours.

I fell in love with the copper birch pre lit tree in John Lewis's store . Yes expensive but you could use it all year round and it's so pretty .

What sort of price is breaking the bank or not? B&Q had one i thought it looked lovely but it was £200, which I'm guessing is too much?

Phyllidakettle · 28/11/2021 19:25

Yes, I’m afraid £200 is to much for me.

We have had pre-lit fir from Balsam Hill for the last 7y- it is very very good quality. I bought it straight after New Year, on sale, when dragging our real Christmas tree to a local park to dispose of- I have decided there and then we are not getting another cut tree for just few weeks' enjoyment ever again.

How about this one?

I can't say how well it fits your criteria of decent looking, but it will be difficult to find a tree of that size, already lit, and cheap as chips. With 400 LEDs, it's quite a good price at £184 and reviews reasonably well.
