Do you think this ever happens?

Just watching 'the Wheel' on catch-up. If you haven't seen it the premise is that 3 contestants compete for a sum of money but all basically contribute to the final sum to some extent. Do you think the final winner in game shows like this ever shares the winnings with the other competitors?

I would guess no. It's a competition - why would anyone give away part of their winnings ?

Dh and I discussed this after watching Sitting in a Fortune which is similar to The Wheel. Dh said he'd try and come up with some sort of deal with the other contestants before the show for the winnings to be shared out equally by whoever wins. Without anything legally binding though it's probably just a nice thought that wouldn't happen.

Yes. I can't imagine listening to everyone's reasons for wanting to win and then socialising with them beforehand and then going off at the end with all the money when they've got half the questions right.

I wonder if there are rules in place to stop that happening? Anyone been on a similar show who could shed some light?

Do you remember the Jasper Carrot one I think it was golden balls or something? The two people at the end had a choice to split or steal the final winnings... it always made me wonder how people slept at night when they stole especially after hearing what people would spend the money on. I dont think I could take the winnings if I wanted a new kitchen versus someone who wanted to travel to Australia to see a terminally I'll family member etc. But I guess you never know until you are sat there.

Sounds like golden balls is one to watch! I'm assuming it's not made any more. Wonder why?

Hehe. I know there are some clips of it on you tube. I have a feeling it might be on one of those weird channels like 'challenge'? No real clue though!
