So I have a photo that has been screenshot from insta, is there anyway to find the account with the name of the account?

You could upload the photo here for an image search.

tineye.com/

Thelnebriati · 28/11/2021 11:58

If you know the name of the account you can google;
''@accountname instagram''.

pinkfondu · 28/11/2021 12:07

I only have a first name and country

pinkfondu · 28/11/2021 12:07

I did try tineye but they said that instagram often blocks them

Are they wearing a recognisable brand or in a recognisable location? Sometimes you can find people by doing a #search

Hiphopopotamus · 28/11/2021 12:14

Why do you need to find the account?

Coviddy · 28/11/2021 12:18

It's quite hard to screenshot something from insta without including the account name. What do you mean you have first name and location? Where are you seeing this?

belimoo · 28/11/2021 12:21

You could try doing a reverse image search on Google?

LindaEllen · 28/11/2021 12:34

@Thelnebriati

If you know the name of the account you can google; ''*@accountname* instagram''.
If she knew the account name she wouldn't be asking how to find it..
Iguessyourestuckwithme · 28/11/2021 12:35

Put the photo into Google search bar

Thelnebriati · 28/11/2021 12:36

OP has the name of the account, and its usually in the screen shot. If you can't find it from that, you're probably blocked.

ABCeasyasdohrayme · 28/11/2021 12:37

I'd advise caution on offering advice. Even if the op is genuine and needs to find an account, and therefore other details, from a screenshot, others who read the thread may not have pure intentions.

LawnFever · 28/11/2021 12:38

If the screen shot is from Instagram doesn’t it include the name of the account at the top?

How do you know the first name & country?

Could you post the screenshot here so we could help?

Wtf, you don't know the op, or why they want to find the account. You could be helping an adoptive parent find their biological child, an abuser finding their victim or any number of other things.

No need to panic not trying to kidnap anyone and no laws trying to be broken. Have been sent the pic part (without the account name) by someone I'm seeing and wanted to find out more about the girl in the pic. So regular internet stalking really Grin

Have you tried asking the person you're seeing about her rather than tracking down a stranger from an image you've been sent?
pinkfondu · 29/11/2021 07:36

Nope and I won't be, just wanted to scope out the competition Grin

Maybe give all the big cheesy grins a rest OP.

As a PP pointed out, we have no idea who you are and why you might be trying to track down details of this screenshot.

"Regular internet stalking" isn't really funny.

Ignore the drama queens!

Have you looked at his Facebook friends and tried to identify her?

ABCeasyasdohrayme · 29/11/2021 18:11

Ignore the drama queens!

Ignore the people advising against offering to track down a woman for a stranger online from a screenshot and no other details?

Its hardly dramatic to be cautious about that ffs. Do you live in a bubble where you aren't aware of the dangers of stalking?

pinkfondu · 29/11/2021 18:18

@BleuJay he's not on there, not on any social media.

OP posts:
dontgobaconmyheart · 29/11/2021 18:43

I could just about grasp some internet searching for a guy you (might) date, but if you knew he doesn't have social media why would you want to find out more about a random women in a photo with him? Are you trying to ascertain whether he has previously dated her? If so stand down OP, leave the poor woman alone and and remind yourself that women are not one another's competitors.

As an aside, i would be more concerned that he has no social media and verifying you aren't being catfished. Get him to facetime you or something to confirm. It doesn't seem ideal that your only image of him is some sort of doctored screenshot?

pinkfondu · 30/11/2021 06:37

Not being catfished, I confirmed his Identity via a professional body website (inc pic) when we first started talking, as well as, getting him to send me a video.
